Bush vs. Clinton in 2016 . . .

• Say it ain’t so: Will America be subjected to four—or eight—years of Jeb or Hillary?

By Victor Thorn —

The very real possibility of a Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton face-off in the 2016 presidential election has elicited a collective groan across many parts of America. One political activist voicing his disapproval is Nelson Hultberg, director of Americans for a Free Republic and president of the Dallas-based National Independent Party.

During a January 7 interview, Hultberg told this reporter: “Jeb Bush running against Hillary Clinton would be a total disaster because it epitomizes what people are against, specifically a Democrat-Republican monopoly. Bush and Mrs. Clinton are both big government statists. We don’t have two political parties any longer. As Pat Buchanan remarked, ‘They’re two wings of the same bird of prey.’ Democrats and Republicans are taking us down the road to tyranny.”

When asked what it represented if someone entered a polling booth and pulled the lever for either Bush or Mrs. Clinton, Hultberg responded: “They’re defending the status quo of these two parties. Democrats that support Mrs. Clinton symbolize the pathetic nature of modern-day politics. Hillary is pitiful. She’s a socialist ideologue that’s leading a march toward doom for America. Democrats will destroy themselves if they nominate Hillary.”

In regard to the potential GOP nominee, Hultberg commented: “Jeb Bush equals Hillary-light. Let’s not forget that George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton conspired together behind the scenes during the Iran-Contra scandal. These two families are interchangeable. They’re the face of America’s power structure.”

This same reasoning applies to Congress, added Hultberg.

“Leaders like John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid control almost all newly elected incoming legislators,” he said. “It doesn’t take long for these politicians to realize who butters their bread. They either get bought off or come under their hammer.”

The recent opposition to House Speaker Boehner by conservative Republicans is a perfect example, especially the blowback directed against them for not toeing the line.

“Boehner and Pelosi teach their subordinates who and what to vote for,” said Hultberg. “They’ve been placed in these positions of power so that everyone else follows along. If this structure remains, we’ll never break the Democrat-Republican monopoly.”

If Bush or Clinton enters the White House following next year’s election, Hultberg envisions disastrous results.

“I see a bleak future of business as usual,” he said. “The Demopublicans will continue their Keynesian economic plan where they keep creating more and more debt to sustain growth. Under this inflationary spiral, I foresee a huge economic crash. Because both establishment parties preach globalism and want Keynesian fiat money, they’ll further push us toward world government and a world central bank.”

Still, Hultberg feels that hope remains if a viable third-party candidate can emerge.

“Some 40 to 50% of Americans don’t believe in the malarkey happening in Washington, D.C.,” he said. “We must appeal to those whose eyes are still open. Considering this state of affairs, Victor Hugo once stated, ‘Nothing is more powerful in history than an idea whose time has come.’ In the past, voters weren’t ready for an independent candidate, but now they are.”

  1. When in doubt, vote third party. Remember, voting between the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. So why waste your vote?

Research third party candidates and vote for them. They may not have the media expo$ure, but they are still on the ballot.

  2. I bet they will manage to carry through the election without anyone being able to pierce the dominance of those two parties. People don’t understand they have to build up a new political movement from the ground; those who launch parties and ideologies will continue to do so, and they sure will not come up with solutions for us.

You will have to create a new society for getting up a decent political party, for no party is worth anything without its own press, or mighty funding schemes. And also don’t forget the industry of intellectuals, publishing houses, the universities; these must also back the movement. You might as well stop with politics and start with managing business, to buy and fund warriors in suit with pen.

That’s what those behind liberalism have done for 500 years.

  3. Maybe they can just use one of those newly developed sophisticated robots to run in the next election. What would be the difference?
  4. Further proof that the people no longer have a say in their own government. The media will publicly humiliate and then ignore any candidate that isn’t pre-programmed.

George W. Bush: Hillary Clinton is like ‘my sister-in-law’
By Jose A. DelReal December 5 at 10:16 AM
Former President Bush has spoken at length about his close ties to former President Bill Clinton, at times calling him his “brother from another mother.”
CNN’s Candy Crowley asked Bush during an interview published Friday where that leaves Hillary Clinton: “My sister-in-law!” the president responded light-heartedly.
