Minister Steven A. Brigham, the founder of Tent City in Lakewood, New Jersey, has been dedicating the past nearly two decades of his life to helping the homeless in the Garden State. Now, he’s taking his show on the road, so to speak, rafting from the start if the Intracoastal Waterway in Point Pleasant, N.J., all the way to Key West, Florida, in the hopes of drawing attention to homelessness in America.

Dave Gahary had the opportunity to sit down with Minister Steve, to discuss how he got started in helping the homeless, and what motivated him to attempt this feat, in this informative interview (21:19).

  1. He only got to Maryland then came back to New Jersey. It did not help any homeless people at all; just looks like he doesn’t know what to do with himself now that his Tent City is gone.
