• Prosecution of sailor reveals glaring inequity of U.S. judicial system.

In a shocking legal case that underscores the fact that there are at least two sets of rules in the United States, one for us and one for them, a U.S. Navy sailor who took a total of six photos of the interior of the nuclear submarine he served aboard was sentenced to one year in prison, given a $100 fine, six months home confinement, 100 hours of community service and a ban on owning guns.
Contrast the justice meted out to Kristian Saucier, a patriotic American serving his country in the U.S. Navy, to the justice not meted out to Hillary Clinton, for mishandling 113 emails—22 Top Secret and 65 Secret—while U.S. Secretary of State.

Saucier, 29, of Arlington, Vermont, plead guilty on May 27, 2016 to one count of unauthorized possession and retention of national defense information. He admitted to taking six photos inside the USS Alexandria (SSN-757), a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine, in 2009 when he was 22-years-old. “The photos were deemed ‘confidential,’ the lowest level for classification,” reported U.S. News & World Report.
Saucier’s attorneys argued that Clinton had been “engaging in acts similar to Mr. Saucier” with information of much higher classification. They argued that it would be “unjust and unfair for Mr. Saucier to receive any sentence other than probation for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid.”
After sentencing, one of Saucier’s defense attorneys commented that “it could be argued here that depending on what your name is, that’s the type of justice you get in the United States.”

So first off, Clinton’s emails were not Top Secret or Secret when she sent them. They were later classified. That’s why she was cleared. Do some research before using these lame Republican scare stories. Also George Bush deleted 180,000 emails that would have landed him in jail if revealed, but nobody cares about that. This gets put on the e-mails from classified government domain systems, classified systems would be the only way anything would of been sent properly. in reference to the bottom comment from Ron, ummmm yes the UCMJ is tougher than civilian justice system however you forgot to mention that Kristian Saucier was not processed through the UCMJ. The navy did not prosecute it. The civilian justice system (US Attorney’s office)prosecuted the case. Same civilian sector as Hillary Clinton should be going through. Hopefully Judicial Watch is successful because this woman not behind bars when we in the military or retired from the military would be behind bars i.e. Mr. Saucier, is bullshit corrupt spineless government backstabbing double standard system. The military UCMJ had nothing to do with it.

First of all, I would like to say that this Navy person and Hillary Clinton are subject to different systems of Justice. Anybody who is in the U.S. Military are subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), whereas Hillary Clinton, as a Government employee, is subject to the civilian court system. So, this is like comparing apples with oranges. The UCMJ defines a different set of crimes and punishments, as compared to the civil court system. So, for the same crime, the UCMJ may have an entirely different punishment than the civilian system.
When I was in the military, I knew a person, who was married, who had raped another woman other than his wife, and he was convicted of both rape and adultery, and was sentenced to 40 years at Fort Leavenworth. Now, in the civilian system, even though adultery may technically be considered a misdemeanor in some states (in my home state it is a misdemeanor with a penalty of a $10 fine). However, nobody will ever be charged with adultery in the civilian system. But, for military personnel, it is a serious crime. Even the 40-year sentence for both rape and adultery, for a first time offense, is very steep, even in the civilian system.
Now, it is not surprising that the this Navy person received a 1-year prison sentence, for what was a much less severe crime than what Hillary Clinton committed, since they both fall under different Justice systems. The military takes the release of classified material, whether it is beyond top secret, or just confidential, like in this instance, very seriously and attaches severe penalties for those types of crimes, much more than the civilian system.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not defending what Hillary Clinton did, as I feel that she had put our nation’s secrets and human assets at grave risk, much more than a few pictures of a nuclear submarine would accomplish. I just thought it was prudent to be fair in this case. The author of this article is absolutely correct that there are two standards being used here, but not because the person in question has the last name of Clinton, but because there are two different justice systems at play here.

Whereas all Clinton did break several laws by 1) using a private, unsecured server for government emails, 2) erasing 30,000 emails and 3) electronically wiping the server clean of traces of what she erased.
Clinton did far worse, and deserves far greater punishment, instead of not being prosecuted.
Contrasting the sentence Kristian Saucier received with the outrageous pass given to Clinton for much more serious offenses demonstrates that the law needs to updated to reflect the reality of today’s US “Criminal Justice System.”
Introduce a new, “duplex judicial system” comprising:
1. Basic Justice: for regular citizens, i.e. the “Proletariat Class”:
Applicable Law: Continue using current laws.
2. Elite Justice: for politicians in the Party in Power, including Executive positions, government employees approved by the Party in Power, very wealthy people approved by the Party in Power, NGOs favored by the Party in Power, people of Religion approved by the Party in Power & celebrities favored by the Party in Power:
Applicable Law: Under the Elite Justice System, although elites might be found “not completely innocent” (replacing the former judgement of “guilty”), they will only be required to pay a stipend fine (ex. $1), and/or a suspended sentence.
No criminal records will ever be assigned to any “elite”, since the “guilty” verdict will be abolished
