A group of activists recently released two shocking videos that show executives from abortionist Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) in business meetings discussing in the most callous terms the depraved practice of harvesting and selling organs and other body parts from aborted babies for profit.
The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) said it put out the video to reveal the truth about the unethical practice of partial-birth abortions and the sale of infant organs on the national black market.
Individuals from CMP pretended to be from a “tissue procurement” company called Biomax and set up a series of meetings in attempt to prove their allegations. So far, CMP has released two videos, promising more to be released in the weeks to come. Needless to say, the content of the footage proves that baby-mill operations do exist.
The first video, which was released on July 14, involved a business meeting where Planned Parenthood Senior Director of Medical Services Dr. Deborah Nucatola met with two actors hired by CMP. It was about a three-hour-long lunch meeting where Dr. Nucatola was caught describing how doctors can alter abortion procedures to harvest specific organs from aborted babies.
“A lot of people want intact hearts these days,” Dr. Nucatola stated in between bites of food. “People are asking for lungs . . . lower extremities . . . and always as many intact livers as possible.”
With food still in her mouth, Dr. Nucatola went into gruesome details about the types of procedures she uses to harvest these organs. Her description is identical to a partial-birth abortion, which involves the gruesome act of killing partially born babies, a practice that has been banned by the federal government.
CMP claims its footage of Dr. Nucatola is proof that PPFA clinics are still practicing illegal abortions to harvest intact baby organs for profit.
Even though Dr. Nucatola was caught saying PPFA affiliates would be happy to do more than “break even,” abortion apologists have sided with PPFA, saying it’s “no different than donating blood.”
PPFA President Cecile Richards gave a public apology for Dr. Nucatola’s “tones and statements,” but she insisted that the meeting was about “tissue donations” and the discussion of money during that meeting was only for covering costs for things like organ storage and transportation.
The second video released by CMP contradicts this notion that PPFA is only covering costs. President of the PPFA Medical Directors Council Dr. Mary Gatter was caught haggling prices with CMP actors.
When the actors asked what a good price would be for an organ, Dr. Gatter responded: “Well, why don’t you start by telling me what price you’re used to paying.”
The actors then pushed Dr. Gatter to throw out a “lowball figure.” She responded: “Well, you know, in negotiations the person to throw out the first figure is at a loss, right?”
She ended up quoting $75, but the actors offered $100, and she took it. Speaking like a true black-market baby-parts peddler, Dr. Gatter said if that was too low “then we can bump it up . . . I want a Lamborghini.” [For the benefit of our hard-working subscribers, that’s the most expensive automobile on the market, but she said this in a joking manner.—Ed.]
Many Americans are outraged and are demanding an investigation. Several legislators have responded to the baby-mill scandal by proposing a bill that would defund PPFA of federal tax dollars. Called the “Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015,” the measure was proposed by Representative Diane Lynn Black (R-Tenn.) with Senator James Paul Lankford (R-Okla.) introducing similar legislation in the Senate.
Senator Randal Howard “Rand” Paul (R-Ky.) is pushing for an amendment to the Highway and Transportation Act of 2015 that would prevent $500 million in revenue from going to Planned Parenthood, the amount which Lankford claims they are getting each year in tax dollars.
The backlash has already begun on the state level. On August 5, “New Hampshire’s Republican-led Executive Council rejected $639,000 in state funding for Planned Parenthood along party lines Wednesday amid a renewed national debate over whether the organization should receive public money,” reported Manchester, N.H.-based ABC-affiliate WMUR-TV.
