Amnesty = Treason

• Fast-tracking citizenship for illegals is not in our best interest.

By Victor Thorn —

On April 16, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) introduced sweeping immigration reform legislation (S. 744) into Congress. Almost immediately, seven senators lent their names to cosponsor the bill, namely Senators Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Robert Menéndez (D-N.J.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).

An April 17 column revealed that it would take congressmen almost three days of nonstop reading to navigate the monstrous 844-page bill. If Obamacare and the stimulus bill were any indicators, does anyone believe that elected officials will actually devote that much time to inspecting this legislation? More importantly, will they publicly reveal all the sordid and hidden details concerning special interest loopholes, waivers and exemptions?

Further, will mainstream media sources disclose that unmarried Hispanic women possess the highest illegitimate birthrate in America, even surpassing blacks? Or, according to an April 2011 Center for Immigration Studies population survey, 57% of households headed by an immigrant (legal and illegal) with children under 18 used at least one welfare program.

Commenting on the bill, Representative Lamar Smith (R-Tex.) said on April 17, “In addition to most of the 11 million illegal immigrants already in the country, the bill offers to legalize the relatives of illegal immigrants outside the U.S., and even others who have already been deported back home. So, current immigration laws are shredded.”

To capitalize on this pathway to citizenship, border patrol agents are revealing that those caught sneaking across the United States border from Mexico or Central America proclaim, “Obama’s gonna let me go” or “Where do I go for amnesty?”

By some estimates, the flood of illegals has doubled in recent months, with the sentiment among human smugglers being: if you don’t get into America now, it’ll be too late to qualify for amnesty.

Making matters even more galling, in February—under the guise of sequestration cutbacks—Department of Homeland Security officials freed thousands of immigrants held in jails. Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu commented on February 26, “President Obama would never release 500 criminal illegals on the streets of his hometown, yet he had no problem releasing them in Arizona.”

The Southwest isn’t the only area affected. The Federation for Immigration Reform stated that New Jersey residents annually fork over $3.5 billion to support the state’s 550,000 illegal immigrants. Since many of these illegals don’t possess high school diplomas and speak no English, taxpayers are forced to pay for their emergency room healthcare, prisons, schools, and even English language classes.

White Collar Workers in a Bind

• Cheap foreign workers given best jobs, leaving U.S. workers in the lurch

The attack on American workers doesn’t end with illegals sneaking across our southern border and working for sub-rate wages. Experienced white-collar employees and recent college graduates are also facing an onslaught from Indian companies and their counterparts in the United States high-tech and medical industries that recruit foreigners who’ll work for lower pay.

Using an excuse that this country faces a shortage of “skilled labor,” the government now allows 65,000 non-U.S. citizens with supposedly advanced abilities to enter our workforce under the H-1B visa program. This excuse doesn’t ring true, though, especially when hundreds and thousands of college kids paying $30,000 a year for their educations are graduating and unable to find jobs. The reason recruiters on U.S. campuses favor foreign nationals is that they don’t have to pay long-term benefits to those who can only work for six years under H-1B guidelines

Pharmaceutical giants like Pfizer have also laid-off scores of seasoned American tech employees, only to replace them with insourced Indians that don’t demand pension plans or comprehensive medical care.

On February 22, computer science professor Norman Matloff commented to Josh Harkinson of Mother Jones, a left-leaning bimonthly magazine, “The minute they see you’ve got 10 or 15 years of experience, they don’t want you.”

Reuters added another element to the equation in an April 10 column. “Computer and Internet companies spent an estimated $132.5 million on lobbying last year.” In return, these tech companies and Indian employment agencies seek a rise in H-1B visas from 65,000 to 180,000 per year. Every American should ask: what other government would abuse their workforce in such a way?

Fortunately, Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) wants to impose severe restrictions on H-1B visas. Others demand that any white collar jobs open to foreigners must first be advertised and made available to American citizens for 30 days on the Department of Labor’s website. Only then could companies hire outside the U.S., with a caveat that prevailing market wages be paid to imported workers.

Inside the Amnesty Bill

• AFP talks to president of prominent anti-illegal immigration group

For a better idea of what the immigration reform bill means to America, AMERICAN FREE PRESS spoke on April 18 to K.C. McAlpin, the president of U.S. Inc., a group run by John H. Tanton, M.D.

Predictibly, Southern Poverty Law Center smear-merchants have called Tanton “the mastermind behind America’s organized anti-immigration movement.”

When asked what readers should be most wary of in regard to the Senate immigration bill, McAlpin replied, “We’re looking at the same basic false promises that were made repeatedly in the past. There’s no reason to believe the government is serious when they grant amnesty now with a promise to control illegal immigration in the future. Why not enforce our laws first before legalizing 10-20 million illegal immigrants and their dependents, which might mean 40 million people? It’s a demographic mushroom cloud and a disaster from the point-of-view of middle class American workers.”

As an expert on the subject, McAlpin described what’s happening behind the scenes. “Amnesty talks are a feeding frenzy, with the only parties represented being big business, big labor and big government. Then, they’re going to try and rush it through Congress like they did with Obama’s healthcare bill. There’s even talk about granting amnesty to illegals already deported. Although we hear pledges that none of the illegals will have access to welfare or other benefits, the bill contains plenty of exceptions that allow bureaucrats to overturn certain stipulations.”

McAlpin provided an example of this bill’s absurdity. “Politicians tell us that immigrants will have to learn English before getting green cards, but imagine how many more federal workers will need to be hired to test 25 million people.”

Turning his attention to what he calls tooth fairy economics, McAlpin said, “How will it spur growth to bring in millions of uneducated and illiterate illegals? The only thing it will spur is the welfare state and those dependent on government. Their children will go to government schools and be a burden on local taxpayers. The only taxes these people will pay are sales taxes. It’s absolutely a disaster, and there’s no groundswell of support from American voters for this legislation.”

Considering all these factors, AFP asked why Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) would support such an atrocity. McAlpin responded, “He’s influenced by a desire to run for president in 2016, plus he’s receiving huge contributions from big corporations and the Republican Party’s globalist wing. Rubio claims it’s not amnesty, but if it walks and quacks like a duck, its amnesty.”

There will be repercussions, though, as McAlpin noted. “Rubio made a specific pledge to Florida Tea Party members that he wouldn’t support amnesty. But by turning his back on grassroots supporters, he’s done lots of damage to himself.”

Democrats don’t escape blame either, as McAlpin observed. “Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Barack Obama, and others from the far left wing want to secure power forever. They realize that by bringing in millions of low income and less educated people, they’ll eventually become constituents of the welfare state and vote for the party of big government. The Democrats wouldn’t be so gung-ho for amnesty if their research showed that all these illegals intended to vote Republican.”

To close out the interview, McAlpin addressed the voluminous amounts of money behind special interests. “Various amnesty lobbies have spent $1.5 billion since 2007. The Sunlight Foundation, funded by open borders advocate George Soros, contributed $300 million alone. Another massive flood of special interest money came from liberals such as New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Microsoft’s Bill Gates. It’s a very savvy network, and whole villages in Mexico have been depopulated because residents decamped and moved to the U.S. DHS can’t cope with these kinds of numbers.”

Senators Shamelessly Pander for Votes

• Core of Democratic & Republican elected officials lead the charge to court illegal aliens for votes

The “Gang of Eight” is how media pundits frequently refer to senators responsible for fast-tracking what critics call “amnesty-light immigration reform.” Better descriptions for them would be:

• Neocon puppets: John McCain (R-Az.) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

• Big government leftist hacks: Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ).

• Republicans in name only: Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Michael Bennett (R-Colo.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.).

In actuality, these men are doing little more than pandering for votes so that their respective political parties can potentially win future elections. A case in point is John McCain, who joined former Senator Teddy Kennedy in 2007 to push an immigration bill that fully touted amnesty for illegal aliens.

Similar ploys have been utilized since Ronald Reagan’s days. The formula is simple: lawbreakers are legalized, while promises to secure our borders are never fulfilled. Marco Rubio is the latest Republican to shamelessly push these worn-out lies.

On April 14 Rubio offered this feeble explanation. “Homeland Security will have five years to meet that goal [of securing the borders]. If after five years DHS has not met that number, it will trigger the Border Commission, who will then takeover this issue for them.”

So, after the border is porous for another half-decade, Rubio intends to create a government agency that will study the problem. Is anyone falling for this deceptive rationale? Apparently, Barack Obama is, because in early April Senior White House advisor Dan Pfeiffer boasted, “What has been talked about in the Gang of Eight proposal is 100% consistent with what the president is doing, so we feel very good about it.”

‘Gringos’ Need to Wake Up Now

By Pete Papaherakles

José Angel Gutierrez is an attorney and professor at the University of Texas at Arlington in the United States. He was a founding member of the Mexican American Youth Organization in San Antonio in 1967 and a founding member and past president of the Raza Unida Party, a Mexican-American third party movement that supported candidates for elective office in Texas, California and other areas of the Southwestern and Midwestern U.S.

Gutierrez’s salary is paid with American taxpayer money. On April 30, 2000, while speaking to a Hispanic crowd, he boasted: “We are the future of America. Unlike any prior generation, we now have the critical mass.We are going to Latinize this country,” one way or another.

Gutierrez said: “People from Mexico, Central and South America are not immigrating to the United States. They are simply migrating because this land had been theirs. . . . Hispanics should never put up with others telling them to go back where they came from.” He told the audience that half of the Hispanic population is under the age of 21—and that for every one who dies, five white people die.

Far from being a madman, Gutierrez has millions of Hispanic fans who support him. “Assimilation” is not a word in his vocabulary. “The Mexicanos that are coming today . . . are keeping their Mexicanness . . . They are recreating Mexico here. I think they are doing it because of the sheer numbers.”

On another occasion, Gutierrez was more blunt about his beliefs. “We have an aging white America,” he said. “They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population. I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it. We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is that if worse comes to the worse we have got to kill him.”

Meanwhile, Barack Obama is pushing hard to give amnesty to more than 11 million illegal aliens, the vast majority of which are Hispanic. In making his case during a May 12, 2011 speech that illegals are unjustly victimized and that immigration reform is morally imperative, the president quoted the Book of Deuteronomy, comparing illegal immigrants to the Jews in Egypt. “Immigration reform is a moral imperative, and so it’s worth seeking greater understanding from our faith,” said Obama. “As it is written in the Book of Deuteronomy [10:19], ‘Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.’ To me, that verse is a call to show empathy to our brothers and our sisters; to try and recognize ourselves in one another.”

“Undocumented immigrants,” as Obama likes to refer to illegals, “keep the U.S. vibrant and prosperous,” he said at a recent speech in Las Vegas. “It is part of what makes this such a dynamic country.”

Although 76% of Americans are opposed to the amnesty bill, over 25 million Americans are out of work and almost 50 million Americans are living on food stamps, Obama feels that allowing 11 million illegal aliens—who showed no respect for our borders and our immigration laws—should be rewarded with citizenship so that we can be more “vibrant and prosperous.”

Surely, those words must be music to Jose Angel Gutierrez’s ears.
