Evidence Says Feds Involved in Bomb Plot

By Victor Thorn

In a series of interviews with top OKC researchers, AMERICAN FREE PRESS asked if they thought there was direct government involvement in the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building.

OKC researcher John Kaminski answered: “Absolutely, yes.”

Hoppy Heidelberg stated that it was “one or more agencies within the government.”

Holland Vandenniewenhof, who co-wrote the script for A Noble Lie, revealed in a Jan. 17 interview: “Evidence points to the federal government running it and covering it up. Do I believe everyone in the government was involved? No, but a criminal faction within the government was.”

V.Z. Lawton, a core member of the Oklahoma Bombing Investigative Committee (OKBIC) who survived the Murrah Building explosion, said during a Jan. 17 interview: “It’s entirely possible. I wouldn’t put it past our government.”

The director of A Noble Lie, James Lane, addressed this question while being interviewed on Jan. 19: “An element of the government brought this operation live. This is only speculation, but there already existed Operation PATCON, where the government infiltrated patriot groups. This was the vehicle for a criminal element within the government to move forward.”

Longtime AFP writer Pat Shannan, who himself made a documentary entitled OKC Bombing: Forerunner to 9-11—available from AFP—stated on Jan. 16: “It was a devised plan, and it was a government operation. It doesn’t take an expert to see that the building was blown up from the inside.”

Don Browning, a canine officer who worked search and recovery after the bombing, responded to the question of responsibility during a Jan. 13 interview: “I’m convinced there was prior knowledge by the government. The ATF [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms] needed it because they were losing funding and were in a tight spot over Waco. It was a deliberate act, and there were definitely plans in the making to blow the building. Agents provocateurs were involved to assist, especially since the county bomb unit was already in place that morning. The whole deal was set up to make ATF the heroes. This was going to go down, and they weren’t going to prevent it.”

When asked on Jan. 13 by AFP if he thought OKC was a “sting operation gone bad,” researcher and author Craig Roberts answered, “No, that’s a cover story. . . . At 10 o’clock that morning, more devices were found inside the Murrah Building. So, they moved everyone back and started carrying file boxes out of the building. There were still people trapped inside, but the files took precedence over survivors.”

When asked what these files contained, Roberts replied, “I received a call from a federal agent, and he said the files related to investigations of Iran-Contra drug smuggling that had been moved into the Murrah Building.”

As this writer extensively documented in the book Hillary (and Bill): The Drugs Volume,** the Clintons were intimately involved in a massive operation where cocaine was flown into Mena, Ark. while they occupied the governor’s mansion.

Lastly, Emery himself went on the record Jan. 19: “I don’t want to paint with a broad brush, but a rogue element within the federal government was responsible. Also, the CIA had something to do with it—a rogue element within the CIA.”

In light of all the direct testimony by individuals that have extensively studied this subject and concluded that the U.S. government was complicit in the OKC bombing, only Bob Barr and Charles Key assert the bombing was a sting that went wrong, a mistake.

Despite reservations, Heidelberg told AFP: “I hope all of this controversy helps sales of the Noble Lie DVD. There is a lot of good information contained in this documentary, but it’s being used to promote the government’s limited hangout theory that the OKC bombing was a sting operation gone bad.”

AFP’s Pat Shannan concurred: “The producers of A Noble Lie did a wonderful job as judge and prosecutor trying their facts, but then they dismissed their own case.”
