Clinton Gets Off, U.S. Navy Sailor Gets 1 Year Behind Bars for Taking 6 Photos

• Prosecution of sailor reveals glaring inequity of U.S. judicial system.

By the Staff at AFP

In a shocking legal case that underscores the fact that there are at least two sets of rules in the United States, one for us and one for them, a U.S. Navy sailor who took a total of six photos of the interior of the nuclear submarine he served aboard was sentenced to one year in prison, given a $100 fine, six months home confinement, 100 hours of community service and a ban on owning guns.

Contrast the justice meted out to Kristian Saucier, a patriotic American serving his country in the U.S. Navy, to the justice not meted out to Hillary Clinton, for mishandling 113 emails—22 Top Secret and 65 Secret—while U.S. Secretary of State.

Saucier, 29, of Arlington, Vermont, plead guilty on May 27, 2016 to one count of unauthorized possession and retention of national defense information. He admitted to taking six photos inside the USS Alexandria (SSN-757), a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine, in 2009 when he was 22-years-old. “The photos were deemed ‘confidential,’ the lowest level for classification,” reported U.S. News & World Report.

Saucier’s attorneys argued that Clinton had been “engaging in acts similar to Mr. Saucier” with information of much higher classification. They argued that it would be “unjust and unfair for Mr. Saucier to receive any sentence other than probation for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid.”

After sentencing, one of Saucier’s defense attorneys commented that “it could be argued here that depending on what your name is, that’s the type of justice you get in the United States.”

Really? You think?

  1. I am not a democrat or republican.I just want our country to be a great nation again.I don’t like Hillary or Trump.I’m just tired of our government rear-ending us.(we the people).Obama should never been elected at all. He has brought our country to its lowest point in history. He and Hillary are 2 of the biggest liars I have ever seen! You and I would be in prison or have disappeared from the face of the earth if we had done half of what these two have done. I’m not a racist if that’s what you’re thinking. I would vote for Colin Powell or Ben Carson THIS November if it would do any good but it won’t.I’m sick of hearing about Bush and his screw ups. They have had 8 years to fix things and haven’t done a damn thing but make things worse. This also means our damn GOP Congress who have sat on they’re asses and drawn a paycheck for the last 2 years while our country continues to decline. We have lost all of our good jobs and decent health insurance because of Obama’s lies. Obama Care is a shambles. It was supposed to be as cheap as our cell phone bill. You can keep your insurance and doctors. He promised change and that’s what he delivered. Emperor Obama, stick your phone and your pen up your ass. We’ve had enough change and we don’t need another 4 years of your and Hillarys type of dictatorship. I love my country but I hate the Peoples Social Republic of Washington D.C. Thank you for allowing me to say my peace. If you disagree with my views that is perfectly fine with me. You have the right to your beliefs and the right to express them and I will fight for your right as well as mine. I hope when you reach my age (I’m not young anymore) that you still have these rights that I hold so dear to my heart. God Bless You All. (if you don’t believe in God that is also your right. I do believe in Him. He is about all I have left TO believe in that can help our country and our world). Thank You

  2. this was from Ben Rem

So first off, Clinton’s emails were not Top Secret or Secret when she sent them. They were later classified. That’s why she was cleared. Do some research before using these lame Republican scare stories. Also George Bush deleted 180,000 emails that would have landed him in jail if revealed, but nobody cares about that. This has got to be one of the worst articles I’ve seen on this subject.

Ben Rem – and you sir or ma’am are an idiot. they were classified at the time “sent or received”. Regardless a government official “would of known or should know” what is classified or not classified. Any state department business handled on a basement unauthorized server is Intentionally a crime. some fucking dumbass democrat during the Director Comey hearing tried to say “they’re no headers, classified e-mails will have headers on them correct?” Comey pipes up and says “yep” ummmm no for one, my classified e-mails that I handled on SIPRNET don’t have big red banners on them saying “CLASSIFIED”, they have (c) in the e-mail and say Classified and give levels before the body of the message, those e-mails will have the classification level on them! This gets put on the e-mails from classified government domain systems, classified systems would be the only way anything would of been sent properly. Her unauthorized basement server WILL NOT CLASSIFY A MESSAGE PROPERLY AND SHE WOULD KNOW THAT BUT DIDN’T GIVE A FLYING FUCK. that is the intent

YOU’RE NEXT STATEMENT ABOUT BUSH IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY COP OUT, ARREST HIS ASS TOO, I DON’T GIVE A SHIT IF HE DELETED 20 BILLION E-MAILS and rots in jail, NOBODY HAS EVIDENCE OF WHETHER THEY WERE CLASSIFIED OR NOT. ASK HIM AND HE’LL PROBABLY LIE TOO. I could care less about either candidate in this race concerning this problem we have with our justice system. So yeah, I do care about this Bush thing deleting e-mails by saying arrest his ass too with the evidence but Hillary will pay for this someday. I don’t know how but it’s coming. Get off CNN and Hillary’s tit and grow a pair

  3. in reference to the bottom comment from Ron, ummmm yes the UCMJ is tougher than civilian justice system however you forgot to mention that Kristian Saucier was not processed through the UCMJ. The navy did not prosecute it. The civilian justice system (US Attorney’s office)prosecuted the case. Same civilian sector as Hillary Clinton should be going through. Hopefully Judicial Watch is successful because this woman not behind bars when we in the military or retired from the military would be behind bars i.e. Mr. Saucier, is bullshit corrupt spineless government backstabbing double standard system. The military UCMJ had nothing to do with it.

First of all, I would like to say that this Navy person and Hillary Clinton are subject to different systems of Justice. Anybody who is in the U.S. Military are subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), whereas Hillary Clinton, as a Government employee, is subject to the civilian court system. So, this is like comparing apples with oranges. The UCMJ defines a different set of crimes and punishments, as compared to the civil court system. So, for the same crime, the UCMJ may have an entirely different punishment than the civilian system.

When I was in the military, I knew a person, who was married, who had raped another woman other than his wife, and he was convicted of both rape and adultery, and was sentenced to 40 years at Fort Leavenworth. Now, in the civilian system, even though adultery may technically be considered a misdemeanor in some states (in my home state it is a misdemeanor with a penalty of a $10 fine). However, nobody will ever be charged with adultery in the civilian system. But, for military personnel, it is a serious crime. Even the 40-year sentence for both rape and adultery, for a first time offense, is very steep, even in the civilian system.

Now, it is not surprising that the this Navy person received a 1-year prison sentence, for what was a much less severe crime than what Hillary Clinton committed, since they both fall under different Justice systems. The military takes the release of classified material, whether it is beyond top secret, or just confidential, like in this instance, very seriously and attaches severe penalties for those types of crimes, much more than the civilian system.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not defending what Hillary Clinton did, as I feel that she had put our nation’s secrets and human assets at grave risk, much more than a few pictures of a nuclear submarine would accomplish. I just thought it was prudent to be fair in this case. The author of this article is absolutely correct that there are two standards being used here, but not because the person in question has the last name of Clinton, but because there are two different justice systems at play here.

  4. From the linked article “dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3748316/Sailor-faces-sentencing-taking-photos-nuclear-sub.html”

“Part of the reason Saucier may have been treated so aggressively is the way he handled being found out – initially denying he’d taken any pictures, and then destroying his laptop computer, a camera and a memory card after an interview with the FBI in 2012.”

Whereas all Clinton did break several laws by 1) using a private, unsecured server for government emails, 2) erasing 30,000 emails and 3) electronically wiping the server clean of traces of what she erased.

Clinton did far worse, and deserves far greater punishment, instead of not being prosecuted.

  5. Contrasting the sentence Kristian Saucier received with the outrageous pass given to Clinton for much more serious offenses demonstrates that the law needs to updated to reflect the reality of today’s US “Criminal Justice System.”

Introduce a new, “duplex judicial system” comprising:

    1. Basic Justice: for regular citizens, i.e. the “Proletariat Class”:

Applicable Law: Continue using current laws.

    2. Elite Justice: for politicians in the Party in Power, including Executive positions, government employees approved by the Party in Power, very wealthy people approved by the Party in Power, NGOs favored by the Party in Power, people of Religion approved by the Party in Power & celebrities favored by the Party in Power:

Applicable Law: Under the Elite Justice System, although elites might be found “not completely innocent” (replacing the former judgement of “guilty”), they will only be required to pay a stipend fine (ex. $1), and/or a suspended sentence.

No criminal records will ever be assigned to any “elite”, since the “guilty” verdict will be abolished

Welcome to the Banana Republic of the United States of America.

  6. “Ben Rem” = hasbarat. As is the usual for these increasingly desperate clods, they make up stories – meaning they lie – and just hope that the fables will stick in the collective mind of the public as “facts”.

Hillary is traitor, a vicious, aggressively militant lesbian with an axe to grind against the U.S., much of it due to the indoctrination she’s undergone at the hands of her Marxist/Zionist handlers and benefactors.

I’d bet that if the sailor had been a non-white he’d have gotten a slap on the wrist for his foul-up.

  7. Goes to show you how our Judicial system is political motivated. The biggest crooks sit in the highest positions selected by those who hold office. To say her emails were not top secret when she sent them is like saying the money was not counterfeit when it was first printed, only by Statutory law it became counterfeit later. The political puppets manipulate their own rules to suit them. If it were me or you who had sent sensitive emails like Clinton you can bet we would be in jail a LONG, LONG TIME AGO. Rich
