Ban Bilderberg

• Are Bilderberg attendees breaking the law? You bet!

By Vince Ryan

This year’s meeting of the Bilderberg Group* was held in the elegant Westfields Marriot Hotel in Chantilly, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C., May 31 – June 3. Participants included 100 influential American citizens, among them being Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, and World Bank Group President Robert Zoellick.

Others included Donald Graham, CEO of The Washington Post; Jessica Mathews, president Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; National Security Agency Gen. Keith Alexander; Thomas Donilon, Obama’s national security adviser; former secretary of state and “New World Order” elder Henry Kissinger; failed GOP presidential hopeful and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin.

On page 15 in this week’s issue, AFP web editor Dave Gahary touched on the issue of American citizens who participate in “foreign affairs” on their own initiative being in violation of the Logan Act. That law was passed in 1799 and was signed by President John Adams. Since that time, only one person has been indicted in 1803 under the Logan Act. A grand jury went after Kentucky farmer Francis Flournoy, who penned an article advocating western states leave the United States and ally themselves with France.

Certainly, Americans—especially those in government—who have attended Bilderberg over the years and met in secret with officials from foreign countries, are violating the Logan Act.

Alex Newman of The New American writes, “Last year, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) called for an investigation and noted that the participation of U.S. officials at Bilderberg, specifically Texas Gov. Rick Perry, was quite possibly [in violation of] the law. ‘This information about him going over there and violating the Logan Act and getting involved, I’m just impressed that that’s in the ordinary media—I think that’s encouraging, too,’ said Paul, who later added that Gov. Perry’s attendance ‘was a sign that he’s involved in the international conspiracy.’ ”

It is not only interesting but vital to note who attends these meetings. It is critical we know what these powerful attendees discuss and what  actions they decide to take on matters that are of concern to all of us.

The news website RT notes, “The actual conversations that occur at the Bilderberg Conference are cloaked in such secrecy that, often, attendees identified to have been at the gatherings have gone on the record to discount allegations that prove as much. Unless infiltrated fully, what actually occurs behind closed doors remains a mystery to most outside of the exclusive gang of around 150 members, but given news reports from years past, international and domestic policy is largely believed to have been crafted at the conference.”

It is vital that the American people know that more no-win wars are being planned at Bilderberg. We need to know what is said about our relationships with Israel, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

Politicians including former president Bill Clinton have attended Bilderberg conferences. Clinton was at a meeting a year before being elected to the Oval Office.

British Labor Party member Tony Blair was on hand at the 1993 Bilderberg meeting before he became prime minister in 1997. Similarly the 2008 Bilderberg conference is believed to have been a catalyst for that year’s U.S. presidential election. Following that year’s meeting, Hillary Clinton bowed out two days later in favor of Obama.

What we all need to do is call our senators and congresspeople and inform them that, if they are attending these kinds of illegal meetings, to stop immediately, as they are in violation of longstanding U.S. law. Tell them you do not want to see any more secret meetings on U.S. soil, nor do we want American elected servants attending these insidious conclaves. Keep us informed of their responses. Let’s ban Bilderberg—now.
