Truth About John Edwards’ Crimes Revealed Despite Media Blackout
Once a political powerhouse, he now faces five years in prison
By Victor Thorn
John Edwards could have made it to the White House, either as Skull & Bonesman John Kerry’s vice president, or as a presidential candidate in 2008. Now, as of August 6, his former mistress and probable love-child mother, Rielle Hunter, testified before a grand jury about the possible illegal use of over $100,000 in campaign funds that was used as hush money to silence her.
Edwards admits that the investigation involves the questionable use of PAC money (a federal offense); and if convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
Initially, his finance chairman, Fred Barron, said he used his personal resources to pay Miss Hunter for “videographer services,” while aide Andrew Young said he fathered her child. Both have retreated and/or outwardly denied their initial claims. The scene became more titillating when Miss Hunter carried her two-year-old daughter into the courthouse, clearly indicating that the infant was pertinent to the proceedings.
AFP first broke the story in 2004 that John Edwards had attended the 50th annual Bilderberg conference in Italy. Like Bill Clinton before him, the global elite vetted this candidate, who all the while reported directly back to Democratic nominee John Kerry. His appearance wowed the crowd to such an extent that author Uri Dowbenko wrote, “Mr. Edwards spoke so well in a debate on American politics that participants broke Bilderberg rules to clap before the session ended.”
As a result, on July 11, 2004, Alan Cowell and David Halbfinger of the New York Times asserted, “A well-received speech by Sen. John Edwards at a conference last month in Stresa, Italy was one reason for his selection as John Kerry’s vice presidential running mate.”
The man slated by these shadowy leaders to place Edwards on the Democratic ticket in 2004 was Fannie Mae CEO James A. Johnson. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg, Johnson also served as a board member for Goldman Sachs. Equally as important, Fannie Mae is widely recognized as a primary cause of the U.S. housing market crash via their purchase of billions in toxic mortgages.

In 2008, after it became clear that Barack Obama had secured the Democratic nomination, Johnson again assumed the role of forming an explorative committee for potential vice presidential candidates. He later resigned under a cloud of controversy due to his association with Fannie Mae.
While Edwards’ wife suffered from breast cancer, many in the know wondered why newsmen refused to cover his affair with his assistant. After the story broke, CNN’s Howard Kurtz described the cover up on Aug. 10, 2008.
“It became a ludicrous situation, a conspiracy of silence by the media.” For his part, Edwards categorically denied any wrongdoing. “The story is false. It’s completely untrue, ridiculous.”
Then, on July 21, 2008, a photographer from the National Enquirer snapped pictures of Edwards meeting with girlfriend Rielle at 2:40 a.m. inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Edwards quickly withdrew from the presidential race, and then all hell broke loose.
In an upcoming book, aide Andrew Young purports that Edwards was waiting for his wife Elizabeth to die so that he could marry Miss Hunter. He adds more fuel to the fire with allegations of an Edwards/Hunter sex tape that is “impossible to put down” with Edwards “taking positions that weren’t on his official platform.”
