Ground Zero ‘Mosquerade’
By Victor Thorn
Nine years after the false-flag 9-11 terror strikes, another grand deception is continuing in lower Manhattan. Commonly known as the “ground zero mosque,” Imam Feisal Rauf’s Cordoba House, while it’s located about two blocks from ground zero at 45 Park Place, still is being used in the media as a divisive Zionist ploy, orchestrated to further create Islamic hatred among the public.
The mosque’s developer, Sharif el-Gamal, is being financed by a Jewish-born Egyptian named Hisham Elzanaty, who recently faced a multi-million dollar racketeering and fraud lawsuit. The plans call for a community center that includes a mosque.
Similarly, the money trail behind Rauf’s Cordoba House leads to R. Leslie Deak, a Christian who converted to Judaism after marrying a Jewish woman. Currently calling himself a Muslim, Deak derives his income as a consultant to the shadowy Patriot Defense Group, an outfit with multiple ties to the CIA, Pentagon and others in the “counterterrorism” field.
His CIA connections are compounded by his father Nicholas, the former head of Deak & Co. In a Sept. 10 article in The New York Observer, “Untangling the Bizarre CIA Links to the ground zero mosque,” Mark Ames described the elder Deak as “a former top intelligence commander during [WorldWar] II for the OSS (a forerunner of the CIA).”
In a related Jan. 10 piece on Deak Sr., Ames added, “In the 1970s and 1980s, he was a major drug money launderer for Colombian drug lords . . . in which the CIA sold crack cocaine to America’s blacks and used the profits to buy weapons for Nicaraguan rebels.”
Deak’s association with black-budget intelligence operations goes back further. Ames noted that when the CIA needed to “clean” some money for their 1953 Iranian coup, they used a firm named Deak-Perera.
Considering these questionable backers, Imam Rauf emerges no better. Initially recruited into a governmental position by the George W. Bush administration where he worked with ultra-insider Karen Hughes, Rauf now serves under President Obama as a public diplomacy officer to the Middle East.

In addition to being a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) that promotes world government and makes the world safe for mega-corporations, Rauf also belongs to the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), which receives support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Carnegie Institute, and, “coincidentally,” the Deak Family Foundation. Other donors include the Danny Kaye & Sylvia Fine Foundation.
Oddly, in an Aug. 19 edition of The Atlantic, staff writer Jeffrey Goldberg described a tribute by Imam Rauf to slain Jewish journalist Daniel Pearl. At Pearl’s 2003 memorial, Rauf said, “I am a Jew. I have always been a Jew, Mr. Pearl.” Though not Jewish himself, Rauf’s words show his affinity to be, or acceptance as, an honorary Jew.
To hype a continuing religious “clash of civilizations” in the Zionist-run media, groups such as Jihad Watch are bankrolled by a pro-Israeli couple named Aubrey and Joyce Chernick. Not surprisingly, the Chernicks also back the Zionist Organization of America, Likud think tanks, the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs.
On the other side of this incendiary left-right paradigm is Obama’s former “green jobs” czar Van Jones and Rauf’s wife, Daisy Khan. In addition, Obama’s head of faith-based ministries, Jim Wallis, is also a CFR member who supports the ground zero mosque through his social justice-based Sojourners publication.
In his Aug. 23 expose, “The Anatomy of a Globalist Propaganda Operation,” Tony Cartalucci outlines how the CFR supports Obama’s Marxist minions, while simultaneously championing their opposition in the form of Christian Zionists. For example, every signatory of Weekly Standard publisher William Kristol’s manifesto, Project for a New American Century (PNAC), was a CFR member.
These anti-Islamic neo-conservatives—erstwhile leftists who hide behind a fake conservative banner and falsely imply that desiring continual war is a “conservative” position—called for “a new Pearl Harbor” in their own words in PNAC position papers. And that was prior to 9-11; it’s as if they expected or sought a cataclysmic event to justify their contemplated, ongoing “war on terror.” The “surprise” 9-11 attacks fit the bill.
As tensions fester over the ground zero-area mosque, Dr. Abd al-Muti Bayumi, a prominent fellow of the Islamic Research Academy of Al Azhar, calls this matter, “the child of a devious mentality,” used to forever link Islam and those 19 mythical Muslim hijackers to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. It also perpetuates an Islamophobia likely designed to prepare Americans for a potential U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran.
Notably, Rauf spoke to the CFR Sept. 13 in New York, where CFR Chairman Richard Haas introduced him as “the founder and CEO of the American Society for Muslim Advancement” and “founder and chair of the Cordoba Initiative,” which Haas claimed is “dedicated to building bridges between the Muslim and non-Muslim worlds,” according to the transcript on the CFR’s web site.
