Gary Byrne, a former Secret Service agent and bodyguard for President Bill Clinton, sat down with AMERICAN FREE PRESS to discuss his new book, Crisis of Character, as well as what the United States will look like should Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton win the election on Nov. 8 and take the White House.

This newspaper has been writing for years about a mainstream media conspiracy at the highest levels, and now a No. 1 bestselling book is providing the evidence of such.
AMERICAN FREE PRESS sat down for a 90-minute exclusive interview with the author of Crisis of Character: A White House Secret Service Officer Discloses His Firsthand Experience with Hillary, Bill, and How They Operate. Gary J. Byrne paints a picture of a scandalous, dysfunctional, and disturbed Clinton presidency, much more concerned with getting the upper hand for themselves rather than for the American people.
In fact, the book is so powerful and potentially damaging to the Clintons, and especially Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy, that, on her orders, the entire mainstream media industry in the U.S. and abroad, except for Fox News, has refused to even acknowledge the book’s existence, other than to trash it.
Although not a household name, Byrne has a place in the annals of American history for a number of reasons. His book should be considered a national treasure since he provides the reader with an insider’s view of the most respected building on U.S. soil not available other than by reading the book. Byrne had to know every nook and cranny of the White House and its inhabitants.
Significantly, Byrne was the first Secret Service employee ever forced to testify against a sitting president in a criminal case, when he got sucked into the Monica Lewinsky scandal while trying to protect the president from himself and Miss Lewinsky’s machinations.
“I was subpoenaed six times and eventually ordered to testify by Supreme Court Chief Justice Rehnquist,” he explained.
Byrne, a Pennsylvania native, joined the U.S. Air Force in 1982, where he was a security policeman until 1986. In 1991, he got the opportunity to join the U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division (SSUD), where he spent 12 years from 1991 to 2003, including almost four years guarding the Oval Office during the Clinton administration, racking up 29 years total in federal service.
His service included several years conducting White House tours, which are led by members of the White House staff and Secret Service, as an instructor at the Secret Service training facility in Maryland, and 13 years as a Federal air marshal, flying over 4 million air miles.
“It was a dream come true for me,” he said. “I like to say that I came in with Papa Bush and I left with Son Bush, and in between I protected the Clintons for eight years.”
As Byrne explains on page 20, the SSUD “ranks among the nation’s most powerful law enforcement agencies,” and SSUD officers have “more arresting power” than any law enforcement agency, including other Secret Service agents.
Byrne decided to write the book when he heard Mrs. Clinton was going to make another run for the White House.
“I lived through the eight years of her husband and his presidency, so I felt compelled to tell my story,” he said. “I wanted the American people to know who the real Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton are before they have to make this decision for this election.”
He continued: “The only transparency that a lot of people really get on the Clinton machine is from my book. I feel this is my mission—to get the truth out there. If people still want to vote for her because that’s their beliefs, I’m fine with that, that’s our system. But know what the truth is and then act on it.”
Byrne said Mrs. Clinton has a long history of lying, deception, and scheming.
“One of the first jobs that Hillary Clinton had as a young lawyer was working on the Watergate case,” he explained. “The person that hired her, the lead Democrat in charge of the investigation, actually fired her for dishonesty.”
And in regard to the now infamous private Clinton email server, he said: “Who was a U.S. senator for eight years and doesn’t know she can’t set up her own private server? The only reason you would do that is to hide information.”
Byrne told this interviewer a particularly disturbing story:
“A new officer, a U.S. Army vet who was in Somalia, . . . was walking down the West Colonnade—built for Thomas Jefferson, and now used by the president and his staff to travel between the West Wing and the Executive Residence—and he’s walking toward the mansion.
The first lady’s walking toward him, and he says, ‘Good morning, First Lady,’ and she looks at him and says, ‘Go [expletive deleted] yourself.’ ”
Byrne explained to this interviewer the background of how his book was blacklisted.
“Right before my book came out we actually had scheduled with ABC, CBS, and ‘The Today Show,’ ” he began. “And according to one person who works for the Fox Network who was talking to another booker from a radio show, they made it so very clear to this booker that under no circumstances could they have me on the show. And this was the Clintons who put pressure on them.”
Byrne pointed to the irony of the book ban.
“Every news agency in the world wanted to talk to us [during the Monica Lewinsky scandal], but we didn’t because we followed the directions of the Secret Service. Now that I’m coming out and telling my story, they’re buckling to pressure from Mrs. Clinton. . . . They’re squashing me because they’re afraid of the truth. They know what I saw. They know what they did, and they’re terrified of it.”
Even though the entire mainstream media except for Fox is moving in lockstep and shutting the book down, it’s still doing beyond well.
“It’s gonna be on the New York Times bestseller list, number one, five weeks in a row,” he said.
