Evidence Points to Immigration Policies Behind Spread of Rare Respiratory Disease

• Occurrence of Enterovirus D68 seems to be spread by waves of illegal immigrant children from Central America shipped across the U.S. due to stupid immigration policies.

Just when you thought the Ebola scare was bad enough, there is now another imported, exotic virus threatening to become an epidemic. It’s called Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) and its symptoms can include polio-like paralysis in children. It is also a result of President Barack Hussein Obama’s unchecked illegal immigration policy.

EV-D68 is a respiratory virus that has recently attacked mainly infants, children and teens. Although rarely seen in the United States in the last 40 years, there has been an outbreak of EV-D68 since the “children invasion” last summer. At least two deaths have been attributed to EV-D68, one in New Jersey and another in Rhode Island.

What is telling, though, is that the outbreak seems to follow the movement of infected illegal alien children.

In an interview with CBS affiliate WHNT in Huntsville Alabama, Representative Morris Jackson “Mo” Brooks, Jr. (R-Ala.) emphasized the need for the U.S. to take control of its immigration policy. In part three of the interview, Brooks said that enterovirus as well as Ebola are a direct result of the Obama administration’s inability to protect our borders.

“Immigration is a part of Ebola, is a part of this ‘new’ virus, that is, I say ‘new’ in quotation marks because it’s relatively new to the degree that we’ve seen in the United States of America that it is taking the lives of American children, that is causing partial or complete paralysis of American children. All of this is related to immigration, because some of these diseases are coming from abroad. By way of example, there was a study in 2013—I think it’s called the enterovirus, that is causing the death and paralysis of young children in America—that thousands of residents of Central American countries were found with this illness over a year ago. And now because the southern border is not being protected, one has to wonder whether this sudden surge of illegal alien children along with the normal numbers of illegal aliens coming into America might have contributed to the spread of this disease, which heretofore was not very widespread in the United States of America. So all of it’s tied together.”

The wave of children illegally entering the U.S. last summer has been estimated at 60,000, although some think it was higher.

The Washington Times reported on June 2, 2014, “The White House signaled that, at least for now, it sees the flow of children—which it predicts will more than double in 2015—as an issue to be managed rather than a problem to be fought.”

Obama critics called this an “administration-made disaster,” attributing the unprecedented 12-fold spike in underage illegal entry children to Obama’s controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Started in 2012, the program allowed many illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as minors to escape deportation for two years. In early June, the White House gave them another two-year window.

The Obama administration recently announced that it wants 34 million blank work permits and green cards as the White House prepares to issue an executive order on amnesty after the November election, although the claim is based on an online solicitation by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services which is seeking vendors who can produce a minimum four million cards per year for five years, and nine million in the early stages.

Congress seems unable or unwilling to stop Obama from opening the borders to a flood of third-world illegal immigration. Along with the economic and social calamity this policy brings to Americans, Obama also seems willing to bring America the plague. It is common sense that some of the Central American children allowed to invade our borders would be infected with EV-D68 just as it is expected that some people allowed to come to this country from West Africa would have Ebola.

  1. Nice list of logical fallacies there, Mariella. Facts are facts, the second thing who is benefiting from endless immigration? The regular people or Wall Street, politicians, business?

  2. Whooping cough, Diphtheria, measles, Tuberculosis. All have spiked since we allowed third world trash into the country. Oh! I suppose the truth offends you Mariella, sorry.

  3. Given the way Americans are hysterically blaming illegal immigrants for the outbreak of all kinds of infectious diseases in the U.S., it appears an outright miracle there is anybody left alive at all in the countries south of the U.S. border. Apparently everybody there is a carrier of a wide variety of diseases, ranging from the plague to Ebola. Odd that there are still people alive there, yes?
