• Advocates for illegal aliens, amnesty adopt more belligerent approach to promote agenda

By John Friend

In recent months, immigrants, both legal and illegal, and their supporters and advocates are taking a much “more radical approach to protesting the record number of deportations that that have occurred under the Obama administration, and the stalled efforts in Congress to work on an immigration reform bill,” according to a Fox News report.

In years past, immigration activists and organizations have pursued more traditional routes of influencing public policy, including holding rallies and marches, engaging in telephone, email, and letter writing campaigns, directly communicating with the public and congressional representatives and holding press conferences to influence public opinion.

A new generation of immigrants—many of whom are residing in the United States illegally or come from families who illegally entered the U.S.—and activists are fed up with the traditional approach, which they view as a failure.  Now, these groups and activists are taking a much more radical and direct approach to influencing public policy.

Marisa Franco, campaign organizer for the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, told Fox that this generation of immigrants and their proponents are frustrated with the old guard of immigrant rights advocates and are growing impatient. Ms. Franco vowed that this new generation “will take power back into their own hands and set a true example of leadership that the Beltway will have to follow.”

Hard Assets Alliance

This newspaper recently reported on a rally held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. attended by numerous illegal immigrants and prominent members of Congress. At the demonstration, attendees demanded amnesty and a pathway for U.S. citizenship for the millions of illegal aliens residing in the U.S. Activists have also chained themselves to buses carrying illegal aliens scheduled for deportation, harassed police and Border Patrol agents questioning or targeting illegals, demonstrated in front of Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices, and blocked the entrance to federal detention centers holding illegal aliens in recent weeks.

Millions of Americans oppose granting any form of amnesty or pathway to American citizenship to illegal aliens and are skeptical of the exceedingly generous immigration policies currently in place at a time when unemployment and underemployment are rapidly rising and show no signs of abating. Illegal immigrants regularly receive welfare and other social service benefits, which has placed a major burden on American taxpayers. Additionally, many citizens question what benefit Americans receive by allowing massive, uncontrolled immigration into their country, especially when most immigrants have few skills and little education, not to mention lack a basic comprehension of the English language and understanding of American political traditions.

Few realize that American immigration policy was radically altered with the passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, which has virtually destroyed the traditional ethnic make-up of the United States of America by ending the quota system and favoring non-European immigration.

“American immigration policy since 1965 has been awar on the traditional white majority—a war that is on the verge of being won,” says Dr. Kevin MacDonald, a professor of psychology at the California State University, Long Beach who has written extensively on American immigration policy and the forces behind it.

Dr. MacDonald sums up what “immigration reform” promoted by the political establishment and demanded by various immigrant rights groups and illegal aliens amounts to in America: “White American taxpayers are being asked to provide massive benefits for people of other races and ensure that they become a political minority in the bargain.”
